The Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees has awarded grants totaling $68,600 to programs providing healthcare services to children in Montcalm County. Grants were awarded through the Meijer Children’s Health Care Cycle and were reviewed by a advisory committee of health professionals and community members.
The 2027 grants include:
- $13,000 to the Montcalm Prevention Collaborative Greenville High School Safe Prom
- $12,600 to Alpha Family Services for the Community Baby Shower
- $10,000 to the Montcalm Area ISD Student Vision Access Fund
- $13,000 to the Corewell Health Foundation West Michigan Greenville Child Passenger Safety Project
- $20,000 to the Michigan Center for 21st Century Learning IM Kids 3rd Meal program
A Field of Interest fund, the Fred and Lena Meijer Children’s Health Care Fund was established in 2005 to support healthcare services for disadvantaged children living in Montcalm County. The Fund has granted over $700,000 to community organizations.
The Greenville Area Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life in the Greenville Area. Since its inception in 1989, GACF has grown to encompass the entire Montcalm County area through our geographic affiliates, the Lakeview Area Community Fund and the Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund.
