(Howard City) – The Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund (MPCF) Advisory Committee and the Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees are pleased to announce $5,621 in grants awarded to the greater Panhandle community. The grants include:

  • $2,121 to the Howard City Action Center for Senior Citizens to provide programs on health, safety, and avoiding scams and fraud
  • $2,000 to the Friends of the Dickerson-Whitsell Cemetery Restoration and Preservation project
  • $1,500 to Leadership Montcalm to support the program’s Montcalm County Bus Tour

Grants were funded by the MPCF Unrestricted Fund and the William and Barbara Rollins Family Unrestricted Fund.

The Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund serves to enhance the quality of life in the four-township area that comprises the panhandle of Montcalm County. Since 1999, MPCF has awarded over $100,000 to the Panhandle community. MPCF is a geographic affiliate of the Greenville Area Community Foundation.
