The Greenville Youth Advisory Council (GYAC), and the Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees, are proud to announce $67,137 in grant funding to support programs benefitting youth. The GYAC cycle is open to greater Greenville area nonprofit programs or projects that align with the identified needs of local youth. Every three years, GYAC surveys students to better understand local needs, compiling the results into a Needs Assessment that helps guide funding decisions. Through this youth-driven process, GYAC members thoughtfully review applications and make funding recommendations. Grants are awarded from the Kellogg Youth Field of Interest Fund.
The 2026 GYAC grants were awarded to:
- IM SAFE Child Advocacy Center – $5,679.90 to expand the Kids Have Rights program in Montcalm County
- Rotary Club of Greenville – $1,000 to supplement the Spring Break Food Boxes

“This grant cycle made me feel very proud of our members, and it is very exciting how these grants support our needs assessment. Our top request has been mental health services and getting money to groups that will support students from that front,” shared GYAC President Kadence Hoffman. “We hope that through our funding, the next generation feels more supported than the last and has every opportunity available to them to help them succeed.”
