Over $377,000 was awarded to schools and nonprofits in the greater Greenville area through the 2026 Education Grant Cycle. In collaboration, the Education Foundation of Greenville (EFG) and the Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) coordinate grant cycles to award funding to Greenville Public Schools and local nonprofit educational programs.  

Grants funded by EFG include:

  • $300 for the Cedar Crest Elementary 5th Grade Camp Roger field trip
  • $500 for Greenville High School Mathematics mobile whiteboards
  • $5,800 for music stands for Greenville Public Schools band and orchestra students
  • $4,790 for Greenville Middle School basketballs and carts
  • $692 for the Walnut Hills Elementary art display system
  • $750 to Greenville Middle School 6th Grade Math classroom whiteboards
  • $1,500 for the Greenville Middle School Positive Choice Initiative
  • $1,770 for the Walnut Hills Elementary Community-Based Instruction (CBI) program
  • $6,705 for inclusive playground swings
  • $1500 for the Satterlee School Care Closet
  • $9,500 for a Mobile Sensory Station at Cedar Crest Elementary
  • $2,456 for Walnut Hills Elementary Science and Social Studies materials
  • $3,216 for the Gaga Ball pit replacement at Baldwin Heights Elementary
  • $3,447 for audio books at Walnut Hills Elementary
  • $869 to Greenville High School for instructional sensory regulation materials and resources
  • $984 for art easels at Greenville High School
  • $1,100 for the Greenville Middle School Building a Hive art project
  • $1,250 to support the Greenville High School International Club
  • $1,500 for Baldwin Heights Elementary Kindergarten literacy materials
  • $1,000 for elementary running clubs
  • $3,770 for Greenville Middle School Tech and Design Sphero Robots

  • $1,079.04 to We Care for Kids for online safety books
  • $93,468.75 to Greenville Public Schools for Track & Field hurdle replacement
  • $500 to the Montcalm Area Reading Council Adult Literacy Book Club
  • $10,000 to the Greenville Public Schools After School Tutoring Program
  • $27,256 to the Belding Area Schools Retail Marketing Innovation Lab
  • $18, 616.98 to Greenville Public Schools Industrial Arts portable sawmill
  • $45,497 to Greenville Middle School for Virtual Headsets
  • $5,332.49 to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School for book collection updates
  • $7,455 for the Lincoln Heights Elementary social studies materials
  • $28,375 for the Walnut Hills Elementary Sound System
  • $29,611 to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School for the K-8 Math Curriculum
  • $8,500 to Baldwin Heights Elementary for ceramics program equipment and supplies
  • $11,250 to the Belding Area Schools Si, Se Puede program
  • $4,649 to the Greenville Public Schools Odyssey of the Mind program
  • $6,000 to Greenville Public Schools Opportunities for Success

The following funds supported the 2026 GACF grants: Grace M. Sagendorf Education Fund, Catherine Stall & June Motley Fund, William and Harriette Cook Literacy Fund, Tom and Chris Kohn Family Fund, Lifelong Wellness Fund, Sagendorf Opportunities for Success Fund, and the Lothian Fund for Youth.

These resources are used for programs and projects that enhance and/or supplement educational programs and provide extended educational opportunities to students in our community. The Greenville Area Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life in the Greenville Area. Since its inception in 1989, GACF has grown to encompass the entire Montcalm County area through our geographic affiliates, the Lakeview Area Community Fund and the Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund.
