Ginny and Jessie Seward spent their lives giving to those around them, and now, a new fund will continue their legacy of love. Established by Kendra Battig and Emmalee Battig, the Greenville Area Community Foundation is honored to announce the Ginny and Jessie Seward Legacy Fund.

“This fund was created in loving memory of Ginny and Jessie, two remarkable individuals whose lives were defined by selfless love, generosity, and unwavering kindness toward others,” Kendra shared. “They helped anyone in need, often at great personal sacrifice, even to the point of financial hardship. They opened their home to those without one, providing shelter, hope, and a chance to get back on their feet.”

Tragically, their lives ended on June 24, 2024, a loss deeply felt by those who knew them and the broader community.

In establishing the fund, the family hopes to carry forward their spirit of generosity and encouragement. “Our hope is that this legacy fund, in honor of their lives and the profound love they shared with the world, will continue to bless others and allow their love and selflessness to live on,” Kendra stated.

Ginny and Jessie were known for rarely missing a game, always showing up to support family and friends. Reflecting that passion, the Fund will support charitable initiatives in the community, with a focus on local youth sports and creating opportunities for young athletes.
