The Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees proudly announces $679,248 in grants awarded to 23 local organizations working to strengthen the greater Greenville community. Funding was provided through GACF’s competitive Fall Unrestricted Grant Cycle. The 2026 grants include:
- $13,900 to the Tabitha Farms Growth Project
- $15,342 to the IM SAFE CAC Forensic Interviewing Recording System Update
- $3,300 to the Greenville Area Recreation and Community Center for Danish Kingdom Swings
- $20,600 to the Greenville Area Recreation and Community Center Theater Updates
- $500 to the Silk City Quilters Cancer Quilts
- $3,965 to the Flat River Historical Society Interpretive Signs for Trail Artifacts
- $25,000 to EightCAP, Inc Greenville Optimist Camp Way-Wah-Tay-See
- $7,220 to the EightCAP, Inc CASA Volunteer Training
- $4,000 to the Greenville Community Church Night to Shine event
- $20,000 to the Montcalm Area Reading Council for Investing in Literacy Leadership
- $10,480 to the City of Belding for Emergency Escape Equipment
- $16,000 to Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore Camp Anna Behrens Program Outreach and Facility Enhancement
- $5,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, Inc Family Support program
- $43,625 to the Special Olympics Area 06 program
- $25,000 to the Clay Street Center Social Worker Support Program
- $5,000 to the Greenville Area Senior Center Sidewalk Replacement project
- $16,000 to the City of Belding Tornado Siren replacement
- $50,000 to the Corewell Health Foundation W.H. Braman Cancer Center Patient Wellness and Assistance Program
- $10,000 to the Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Pantry Program
- $9,900 to the Volunteers in Action at the Gathering Place Community Connections, Basics & Beyond and Life Literacy programs
- $5,000 to Toys for Tots Every Child Gets a Book initiative
- $3,060 to the Belding Area Community Fund Capacity Building Technology
- $75,000 to Cherry Street Services Foundation Access to Wellness: Montcalm Area Health Center
- $38,105 to the Danish Cultural Center Restoration project
- $15,000 to the Greenville Area Recreation & Community Center Ash Cultural Event
- $238,251 to the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Greenville Regional YMCA project
These grants were supported by the Stanley & Blanche Ash Community Improvement Fund, the Bill Braman Family Fund, the Bill & Helen Braman Fund, the Buescher Foundation Fund, the William & Harriette Cook Literacy Fund, the Byron & Delores Cook Administration Fund, the Korson Family Fund, the Dr. Joyce London Memorial Fund, the Ranney Family Fund, the Lemont & Joanne Renterghem Family Fund, the Svendsen Family Unrestricted Fund, Henry I. (Hank) & Alice B. Walker Unrestricted Fund, the Creative Arts Council Endowment Fund, and the GACF Unrestricted Fund.
Donor Advised Funds participating in this cycle include the Ray J. & Mary G. Tower Family Fund, the Tom & Chris Kohn Family Fund, the Roy & Julie Ferguson Memorial Fund, the Roger G. & Barbara A. Martin Family Fund, the Reisch Family Memorial Fund for Children, and the Stafford Family Fund for Community Enhancement.
The mission of the Greenville Area Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in the greater Greenville area. Since its inception in 1989, GACF and its affiliate funds have awarded over $22 million in grant funding to local nonprofit organizations.
