Rosemary Posekany Memorial Scholarship
One or more scholarships to a Greenville and/or Belding graduating senior planning to attend a trade or technical school, community college or university and enrolled with the intent of earning a two-year or four-year degree or certification in a trade. Applicants must be well-rounded, involved in extracurricular community service activities, not necessarily associated with the high school. Applicant’s personal statement describing career plans is important.

Dick and Kay Barnes Scholarship
One or more scholarships will be awarded to a Greenville High School graduating senior. Applicant(s) must demonstrate the ability to academically succeed at a higher educational level, be a well-rounded student, and although evidence of financial need will be considered it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Victor C. & Lois U. Beal Scholarship
Recipient must attend a four-year college or university majoring in education with the intent of becoming a teacher. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to academically succeed at a higher educational level and demonstrate the need for financial assistance.

John & Joan Beam Scholarship
Applicant must be a well-rounded student with a “B” or better average who has need of assistance and a likelihood of success. The award will go toward attending either Michigan State University or Grand Valley State University as a full-time student working on a four-year degree.

Carlotta Selleck Bower Scholarship
Up to two scholarships available for first year students attending a four-year college with plans to take at least one course in art or music. Financial need is a consideration as well as ability to achieve at a higher educational level.

Dr. Albert J. (“Bert”) Bower Scholarship
Up to two scholarships will be available for first year students attending a four-year college and focusing on a pre-med course of study. Financial need will be a consideration as well as the ability to succeed at a higher educational level.

James S. Bower Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduating senior that has lived in the area at least one year and plans to attend a four-year public college or university in the State of Michigan on a full-time basis. Special consideration will be given to students interested in a business administration curriculum who show an entrepreneurial spirit and have demonstrated the ability to academically succeed at a higher level. Candidates must submit a one-page essay highlighting their community service activities and philanthropic tendencies.

Suzanne M. Christensen Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduating senior who has lived in the area at least one year and is attending an accredited college or university. Recipients must show the ability to succeed at the higher educational level and evidence of financial need. Please submit a one-page summary covering the following six areas of achievement: work experience, school activities, special talents, leadership positions/awards/recognitions, etc. and community and personal activities.

Herman and Verdie Clark Memorial Music Scholarship
One or more scholarships will be given to a student(s) attending a four-year college to study music; toward a summer music camp fee, or to study in the performing arts field. Music must play a major role in the recipient’s life and financial need will also be strongly considered.

Dr. Jerry L. Cushman Memorial Scholarship
Established by the family of Jerry Cushman to provide scholarships for graduating Greenville High School seniors pursuing higher education at a college or university. Preference will be given to students majoring in education, demonstrating a strong work ethic, with extra consideration given to students who participated in high school athletics.

Barbara Hansen Drake Scholarship
Applicant must be a well-rounded student with a demonstrated ability to succeed academically at a higher education level and plans to pursue a degree in education. Preference will be given to an applicant who will be attending the University of Michigan.

EFG Bill Braman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a Greenville High School graduating senior in good standing, who is well-rounded and displays interest in and demonstrates the ability to succeed academically at a higher education level. Preference may be given to a student who will be the first in their family to attend a trade school, community college or university.

Eloise Johnson Memorial Scholarship for Education
Recipient must plan to attend a 4-year College or University with the intent to major in education and become a teacher. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to academically succeed at a higher educational level, and although evidence of financial need will be considered it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Coach Paul M. Engle Scholarship Fund
Established by the Engel family, this fund will award scholarships to Greenville High School graduates pursuing education through community college, college or university, trade school, or apprenticeship, with preference given to students involved with athletics.

Fordyce/Hurst Lions Club Scholarship
This scholarship will provide financial assistance to a graduating senior with plans to attend a community college, university or trade school after graduation. Recipient must be a well-rounded student who participates in community service and has demonstrated the ability to succeed academically at a higher educational level. Evidence of need for financial assistance will be considered.

GHS Alumni Scholarship 
Nicole Baker, Anthony Baker, Anthony Barnes, Audrey Frank, Rebecca Martin, Kyle Playford, Matthew Scholtens, and Bradley Van Houten established this endowed scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to a Greenville High School graduate who is pursuing any degree, certification, apprenticeship, or program to further their education or career path. 

Greenville Business and Professional Women Scholarship 
One or more scholarships will be awarded to a well-rounded graduating senior who has balanced extracurricular, civic and community responsibilities with strong educational excellence.

Greenville Rotary Leadership Scholarship
Established by the Greenville Rotary Club for graduating senior(s) pursuing higher education or post-secondary skill certification, including the Paul Warnshuis Spirit of Rotary Award, Greenville High School Spirit of Service Award, and the Fran Rivard Rotary Award.

Don Haist Scholarship for Character
A scholarship will be awarded to a Greenville High School graduating senior who is recognized as a nice, kind, compassionate person, showing high character. Student must be accepted at an accredited community college, college, or university. Preference given to students pursuing a teaching degree, and must show evidence of a strong work ethic, teamwork, school-related activities, and community service. Financial need will be considered.

Allen and Frances Highfield Memorial Scholarship 
Applicants must have applied, been accepted, and attend the University of Michigan.

Keith & Jean Hudson Music Scholarship
Recipient must plan to attend a college or university as a music major with special consideration given to students interested in the field of music education or woodwind performance. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to academically succeed at a higher education level and must demonstrate musical ability to succeed as a music major at a higher educational level.

Jennifer Marie Horst Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a GHS graduating senior who is a member of Village Green and plans to attend college as a full-time student working toward a four-year degree. Financial need and the likelihood of success will be determining factors.

Jacket Strong Scholarship- In Memory of Jamison Lafferty
This scholarship will be awarded to a GHS graduating senior pursuing higher education. Applicant must have participated in athletics and have a 3.5 GPA.

Naomi Lewis Guild Scholarship
Recipient must be interested in becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) or pursuing a degree in the nursing or medical field. The scholarship will be awarded on the following criteria: financial need, work ethic and grade point average.

William A. Loding Scholarship
One or more scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior that has taken at least one semester of welding during high school and plans to attend a trade or technical school, community college or university with the intent of earning a degree and/or certification in welding.

Thomas C. Maxim Memorial Scholarship
One scholarship to a Greenville graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education. Applicant must include a personal statement of no more than 500 words describing a time in their life that has shaped who they are as a person, including how they will use that experience to help others. Applicant must also be involved in extracurricular community service activities.

John & Wanda Meyer Scholarship
One scholarship will be awarded to provide financial assistance to a GHS graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education, preferably in the field of education. Applicants must be a well-rounded student participating in school (i.e. athletics, band, choir, etc) and or/community based extracurricular activities and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25. Applicant must plan to pursue a degree in education with the intent of becoming a teacher; or pursuing a degree that allows them to work with youth.

Ed and Helen O’Boyle Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduating senior with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and MUST be going into the field of education. Student must provide a short summary of school and/or community activities that relate to teaching, tutoring and/or mentoring.

Victoria Walter Patterson Memorial Scholarship
One or more scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior who has lived in the area at least one year and plans to attend Michigan State University on a full-time basis in the fall following graduation. Recipients must demonstrate the ability to succeed at a higher educational level. Special consideration will be given to students interested in animal science or the field of biology.

Pomeroy-Wolverton Family Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a GHS graduating senior with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA who is pursuing higher education.

Rosemary Posekany Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship will be awarded to a student attending an accredited college or university full time. Open criteria, however, students seeking a degree in education are preferred.

Stafford Family Scholarship for Communication Arts
One or more scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who have lived in the area at least one year and will attend a four-year college or university, or a two-year community college on a full time basis immediately following graduation. Applicants must be planning on making journalism, communication arts or English their major field of study, and must have earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA during their junior and senior years in high school. Applicants must provide a statement of no longer than one double spaced page expressing interest in studying communication arts in college as a possible vocation.

Marilyn Stankey Health Career Scholarship
Recipient must be interested in pursuing a degree in the health field at Montcalm Community College, must demonstrate the ability to succeed academically at a higher level, and must show evidence of financial need. This award is renewable for up to four semesters.

Brian Stauffer Memorial Scholarship
One or more scholarships will be awarded to students of high character who have been accepted and plan to attend Michigan State University. First consideration will be given to students pursuing a degree in the engineering field with secondary consideration given to those students pursuing a business degree.

Dr. Harold and Eleanor Steele Scholarship
Recipient must be interested in pursuing a degree in the health sciences (Dental/Medical) related to patient care (i.e. EDS, MD, Dental Hygiene, Physical Therapy or Radiology Technician) and attend the University of Michigan, Montcalm Community College, or Grand Rapids Community College.

The Gregory Allen Weitzel Memorial Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering 
The estate of Patricia Sue Grimmer Weitzel, Gregory’s wife, established this endowed scholarship fund in memory/honor of Greg for the purpose of providing financial assistance to a graduating Greenville High School senior pursuing higher education in the field of mechanical engineering. 

Natalie Young Music Scholarship
The family of Natalie Ann Young started this scholarship to provide support for a graduating senior from the Lakeview, Montabella, or Greenville schools, who is pursuing higher education to study music and/or education by attending a community college or college/university. Candidates must have been involved with the school’s music program during their high school years and show that music will play a prominent role in their future. Special consideration will be given to those who participated in extracurricular activities and community service projects while attending school, and students planning to attend Central Michigan University, Natalie’s alma mater.

Alger & Edna Abbey Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to a graduating senior of the Lakeview Community School District furthering his/her education by pursuing a certification, license, or degree at a trade school, community college or university.  Special consideration will be given to students interested in a vocation/career that helps them “work with their hands.” Candidates must be receiving the additional education and/or training at a trade school, community college or university that qualifies as a non-profit institution.

Kyle Boss Memorial Aviation Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to a high school graduate from the Tri County or Lakeview Community School District (both in Montcalm County) to advance his or her education or skills in the field of aviation, including the Civil Air Patrol. Applicants must be a well-rounded individual, must show likelihood of success with a preference shown to students who participated in sports (especially football). Although evidence of need will be considered, it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Dr. Gary & Ellen Baker Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship provides financial help for a graduating senior attending Lakeview School District with plans to enter a health-related field such as dentistry, dental hygiene, nursing, medicine, or other medically related fields.

Roger Betten Family Scholarship
Roger and Jill Betten and family established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to a Lakeview graduating student pursuing a four-year degree at a college or university. Applicant must be a student in good standing, a well-rounded individual that has demonstrated financial need.

Bob & Mary Charnley Scholarship
This scholarship provides support for students in the Lakeview area school system interested in pursuing a 4-year degree in education at a college or university. Applicants must reside within the Lakeview area and have lived in the area at least one year prior to the date of application for the scholarship award. They must be pursuing a degree in education, a student in good standing, and have demonstrated need.

Joe Cook Scholarship
Friends of Joe Cook established this fund in 2004 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college-bound student athletes showing strong character, fair play, determination and the ability to succeed and who reside within the school district that services the Lakeview area. Recipient must have a GPA of 2.5 or better out of a possible 4.

Elmer & Mary Coon Performing Arts Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support for students from within the Lakeview area school system who are interested in attending a summer camp to focus on music (voice or instrument) or theatre and/or pursuing a degree in the field of music (voice or instrument) or theater at a two or four year college or university.

Earhart Family Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship(s) will be awarded to a student from the Lakeview area to further their education in the field of business, health, or music, at a community college or college/university. Special consideration to students who have participated in extracurricular activities and community service projects while attending high school. 

Clair & Alice Ellafrits Memorial Scholarship
The Alice Ellafrits family established this scholarship fund for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college-bound youth residing with the Lakeview area school district. Recipients must be a well-rounded individual; show the likelihood of success; and although evidence of need will be considered, it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Farnsworth Family Scholarship
The Farnsworth Family established this scholarship fund in 2019 to provide financial assistance to a college/university or no-profit technical or trade school-bound youth residing with the Lakeview area school district for at least one year prior to graduation. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or better; be a well-rounded individual of good moral, ethical and spiritual character; have evidence of financial need and demonstrate the ability to succeed at a higher education level. 

Guilfoyle Family Scholarship
The Guilfoyle family, in honor of Wayne and Maxine Guilfoyle, established this fund to provide financial assistance to college, trade or technical school-bound youth residing within the Lakeview Area school district. Recipients must be a well-rounded individual; must show the likelihood of success; and although evidence of need will be considered, it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Mike Grant Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student from the Lakeview area planning to attend a trade or vocational school, community college or college/university to study a trade: construction, welding, mechanics, or heavy equipment. Preference will be given to students who have participated in band and/or sports in high school. Special consideration to students who have worked or apprenticed while attending school and/or have participated in church or community service projects while in school.  Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and provide a short essay on why they are entering the trade they have chosen.

Russell & Louise Hansen Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support for students from within the Lakeview area school system who have decided to continue with higher education by pursuing a nursing degree at Montcalm Community College.

Alfred & Leona Kranz Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide support for students from Lakeview area school system who are pursuing a degree at a college or university in the field of education. Applicants must be a graduate of the Lakeview school system, be pursuing a teaching degree, demonstrate academic success, and must have demonstrated financial need.

James Kos Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior pursuing a post-secondary education and who demonstrates scholastic achievement, as well as, citizenship, personality, moral, ethical, and spiritual characteristics. Recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or better out of a possible 4.

Lakeview Community School (LCS) Calculus Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a graduating high school senior who is college-or university-bound and is pursuing a career that requires a mathematic calculus course. The math class must include calculus as a major part of its objectives and the student must show that he/she has been successful in the completion of the class within two (2) years of their high school graduation date. Recipient must have demonstrated requisite math skills; and if there are two or more eligible students, then financial need will be considered.

Lakeview Education Association Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the members of the Lakeview Education Association (LEA) to provide support for graduating students from within the Lakeview area school system who are pursuing a degree at a college or university. Applicants must complete the application itself in a professional manner, must have demonstrated high moral character, and should demonstrate outstanding academic performance. The number of years the applicant has actively attended Lakeview Schools will be considered, with preference given to those interested in the field of education and those with a family history of involvement in unions.

LHS Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship fund was established through an effort of the LHS Classes of 1977 & 1979 to endow a scholarship fund that will provide financial support to further their education by attending a nonprofit trade school, community college or college/university in the State of Michigan. Special consideration will be given to students who have worked or apprenticed while attending school and/or participated in extracurricular activities and community service projects while attending school. 

John L. London M.D. Health Career Scholarship
Established by the family of Dr. London, a physician in the Lakeview area for over 40 years, this scholarship will provide financial assistance to a Lakeview graduate pursuing education in a health-related field by attending a technical/ vocational school or college/ university.  

Abby & Todd Molitor Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Mel Molitor and family to provide financial assistance to a graduating college or university-bound students and/or current resident of the Lakeview area interested in pursuing a degree in the mental health field. Applicants must demonstrate community service/involvement and must have demonstrated financial need.

Montcalm County Panhandle Area Chamber of Commerce-Robert M. Alger Scholarship
Applicant must reside within one of the four townships of Maple Valley, Pierson, Reynolds, and Winfield in the Montcalm Panhandle area; must be a graduating senior pursuing a degree at a Michigan community college, college or university; must have demonstrated community service/involvement; must provide a Letter of Intent; must submit a high school transcript with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Rossman Family Scholarship
This scholarship is for a graduating senior or seniors from Lakeview High School who is a dedicated learner, shows the likelihood of success and shows financial need.

Sutherland Family Scholarship
This scholarship’s purpose is to provide support for students from the Lakeview area school system who are pursuing a four (4) year degree at a college or university, have a good academic record and show financial need.

Trufant Area Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior interested in pursuing a degree at a Michigan community college or university who currently resides in the Trufant area. Applicants must be from the Trufant area (zip code 49347), a well-rounded individual, and show the likelihood of success.

Wales Memorial Scholarship
The Lakeview Lions Club established this scholarship fund in 2003 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college-bound youth residing with the Lakeview area school district. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to succeed at a higher education level; have evidence of financial need; with preference given to students with vocational goals.

Deborah Ann Dobbrastine Weatherford Memorial Scholarship
Tom Weatherford and family established this scholarship fund to honor his wife, Deborah, to provide financial assistance to a student(s) attending Montabella Community Schools and Lakeview Community Schools who is pursuing higher education at a nonprofit career/vocational/technical school, community college or university. Areas of study given special consideration include secondary education, business education, public administration, office practice, counseling, or fine arts. Preference given to students planning to attend Central Michigan University, Montcalm Community College, or a Michigan nonprofit career/vocational/technical school.

Darwin & Ethelda Van Houten Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior interested in pursuing any form of post-secondary education by attending a trade school, community college or university, with preference being given to those from Six Lakes and the surrounding area. Applicants must live in the area serviced by Montabella Community Schools; must be a graduating high school senior, or be a previous recipient; must have a 2.0 GPA; must provide a copy of high school transcript; must be a well-rounded individual with preference given to those who have participated in band or athletics; and provide a written statement indicating extra-curricular activities and why he/she should receive this scholarship.

Natalie Young Music Scholarship
The family of Natalie Ann Young started this scholarship to provide support for a graduating senior from the Lakeview, Montabella or Greenville schools, who is pursuing higher education to study music and/or education by attending a community college or college/university. Candidates must have been involved with the school’s music program during their high school years and show that music will play a prominent role in their future. Special consideration will be given to those who participated in extracurricular activities and community service projects while attending school, and students planning to attend Central Michigan University, Natalie’s alma mater. 

Wayne Loding Welding Scholarship
A scholarship will be given to a graduating senior participating in the welding program administered by the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District at the Montcalm Area Career Center (MACC) and who is pursuing higher education in the field of welding. Preference will be given to those MACC students who have earned the two-year certificate.

Kyle Boss Memorial Aviation Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to a high school graduate from the Tri County or Lakeview Community School District (both in Montcalm County) to advance his or her education or skills in the field of aviation, including the Civil Air Patrol. Applicants must be a well-rounded individual, must show likelihood of success with a preference shown to students who participated in sports (especially football). Although evidence of need will be considered, it will not be a condition of this scholarship.

Randall L. Fisher Scholarship
This scholarship was established by family, friends, and the community in memory of Mr. Randall L. Fisher, a beloved teacher for 34 years at Tri County High School. Recipient will be a Tri County Area Schools graduating senior who is interested in pursuing a degree in math, music, science or engineering at a four-year college or university. Applicant must submit a high school transcript; have demonstrated community service/involvement; must provide a Letter of Intent; have a 3.25 or higher GPA; and been involved in extracurricular activities.

Montcalm County Panhandle Area Chamber of Commerce-Robert M. Alger Scholarship

Established in 2005 by Rich Pease in honor of his wife Cheryl for the purpose of providing financial assistance to a well-rounded, college bound female student who resides within the Tri County school district. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or better out of a possible 4; must have earned a minimum of four (4) Varsity letters earned through participation in athletics, band, and various school activities and through academic achievements. Applicant must plan to enroll in a four-year college or university on a full-time basis in the fall following graduation.

Richard Pease Memorial Wrestling Scholarship
Recipient will be a male student planning to enroll in a four-year college or university on a full-time basis in the fall following graduation. Applicant must reside within the Tri County school district; have a GPA of 2.5 or better out a possible 4; have earned at least one (1) Varsity wrestling letter; and shown outstanding citizenship in all facets of his life.
