GREENVILLE AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS 2023 GRANTS

(Greenville) – The Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees are pleased to announce $585,658 in funding awarded to 18 organizations throughout the greater Greenville community. The Fall Unrestricted Cycle grants include:

  • $5,671 to the City of Belding Fire Department Radios
  • $41,000 to the Greenville Area Community Center Theater Lighting
  • $7,355 to the Belding Community Garden Upgrade
  • $138,910 to the Clay Street Center Garage Renovation
  • $4,427 to the Alpha Family Services Security System
  • $60,000 to the Danish Cultural Center of Greenville Restoration
  • $25,000 to EightCAP, Inc Camp Way-Wah-Tay-See
  • $20,000 to the Greenville Area Senior Center Parking Lot Repair
  • $174,525 to the City of Greenville Trail Hub Project
  • $7,000 to the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Technology and Façade Updates
  • $5,320 to Faith Baptist Church Safe Passage Project
  • $10,000 to the MAISD Imagination Library
  • $5,000 to the American Legion Post 101 Kitchen Upgrade
  • $20,000 to Feeding America Mobile Food Pantries
  • $15,000 to Community Hope Christian Counseling Security System
  • $5,450 to the Montcalm County Honor Guard
  • $6,000 to Grateful Hearted Honoring our Veterans
  • $20,000 to Montcalm Area Reading Council Operations
  • $15,000 to the Greenville Area Community Center Ash Cultural Event

These grants were supported by the Ash Community Improvement Fund, the Henry & Alice Walker Fund, the Buescher Foundation Fund, the Bill Braman Family Fund, the Bill & Helen Braman Fund, the Ranney Family Fund, the Byron & Delores Cook Administration Fund, the Dr. Joyce London Memorial Fund, the David R. Moore Fund, and the GACF Unrestricted Fund. Donor Advised Funds participating in this cycle include the Ray & Mary Tower Family Fund, the William & Harriette Cook Literacy Fund, the Tom & Chris Kohn Family Fund, the Roy & Julie Ferguson Memorial Fund, the O’Brien Family Community Needs Fund, the Creative Arts Council Fund, the Stafford Fund for Community Enhancement, and the Reisch Family Memorial Fund for Children.

Additionally, the Ray and Mary Tower Family Fund awarded a $100,000 grant to the Montcalm Community College “Transforming Lives, Empowering People” Initiative One Campaign to be paid out over three years.

The mission of the Greenville Area Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in the greater Greenville area. Since its inception in 1989, GACF has grown to encompass the entire Montcalm County area through our geographic affiliates, the Lakeview Area Community Fund and the Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund.
