The Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) has unveiled Rooted in Community, a commissioned sculpture by Michigan artist Kelly O’Neill. The piece was created in honor of Alison Barberi, who retired as GACF’s President/CEO in May 2026. It will remain on the Foundation’s grounds as a permanent installation.

Formed from recycled steel and glass, the sculpture is a tribute to Barberi’s longstanding connection to the Foundation and the greater Greenville community. During her time with GACF, Barberi worked alongside local donors, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and residents to advance the Foundation’s mission and strengthen the community it serves.

GACF is grateful for Barberi’s 26 years of leadership and wishes her all the best in retirement.
