The Greenville Area Community Foundation and the Lakeview Area Community Fund are pleased to announce the new Larry and Barb Disher Scholarship Fund. Established by the Disher family, the fund will award scholarships to graduating Lakeview High School students pursuing careers in agriculture, animal science, crop and soil science, agriculture economics/ agribusiness management, nutrition & food science, veterinary medicine, or related fields.

Larry and Barb grew up on family farms in Ohio and met while attending Ohio State University, where Larry earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Barb received a BA in Elementary Education. In 1964, Larry purchased the Lakeview Animal Clinic, and the Disher family relocated to Lakeview, Michigan, where they provided care for local farmers and pet owners for 29 years. The newly established scholarship fund reflects their dedication to education and agriculture and will support students who share those interests.
