Over $270,000 was awarded to schools and nonprofits in the greater Greenville area through the 2025 Education Grant Cycle. A collaborative effort, the Education Foundation of Greenville (EFG) and the Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) coordinate grant cycles to award funding to Greenville Public Schools and local nonprofit educational programs.  

Grants funded by EFG include:

  • $160.85 for the Greenville Middle School Earthquake Shaker Table
  • $385.73 to Greenville High School for Ceramics Slab Mats
  • $1,000 to the Greenville High School Science Olympiad Team
  • $600 to the Greenville Middle School FUN Committee
  • $1,217.19 to the Greenville High School Band for percussion equipment
  • $1,380 to Walnut Hills Elementary for hands-on learning opportunities
  • $1,500 to the Greenville High School Care Closet
  • $2,000 to Greenville Public Schools for sensory tools
  • $2,445 to Walnut Hills Elementary for student tricycles
  • $2,500 to Cedar Crest Elementary Transitional Kindergarten for a light table
  • $2,782.20 for Greenville High School for Biology Lab Equipment
  • $3,000 to Cedar Crest Elementary for Behavioral Supports

Additionally, EFG and GACF co-funded the following grant:

  • $2,500 to Greenville High School for Physics Lab Equipment

  • $13,094 to Belding High School for a Golf Simulator Program
  • $1,079 to St. Charles Catholic School for whole class novel studies
  • $25,366.60 to the Greenville High School Iron Jackets for rack expansion
  • $33,628 to St. Charles Catholic School for a playground safety fence
  • $1,926.46 to St. Charles Catholic School for a computer cart
  • $28,087 to Cedar Crest Elementary for Virtual Reality Field Trip Equipment
  • $23,250 to Belding Area Schools Mid-Michigan Migrant English Language Summer School Program
  • $10,000 to the Scouting America Pack 3130 Outdoor Classroom
  • $6,000 to the Montcalm 4-H Fair Association Reading for Rides Program
  • $3,000 to the UfedME DBA Cedar Lake Growers Community Seed Starting Initiative
  • $5,000 to the Greenville Public Schools Odyssey of the Mind Program
  • $89,739 to Greenville Middle School for Chromebook carts

The following funds supported the 2025 GACF grants: Grace M. Sagendorf Education Fund, Ray J. and Mary G. Tower Family Fund, William and Harriette Cook Literacy Fund, Tom and Chris Kohn Family Fund, Sagendorf Opportunities for Success Fund, and the Lothian Fund for Youth.

The Greenville Area Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life in the Greenville Area. Since its inception in 1989, GACF has grown to encompass the entire Montcalm County area through our geographic affiliates, the Lakeview Area Community Fund and the Montcalm Panhandle Community Fund.
