(Lakeview) – The Lakeview Area Community Fund (LACF) Advisory Committee and the Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF) Board of Trustees are pleased to announce $25,515 in grants awarded to the greater Lakeview community. The 2025 grants include:
- $5,000 to the Village of Lakeview Tree Project, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund and the Lawrence & Pearl Padden Family Fund
- $2,000 to the Sonshine Worship Center/ Abby’s Kitchen supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund
- $1,000 to Lakeview Elementary School Calming Center, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund
- $3,500 to the Lakeview Area Museum, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund and the Lena Rader Meijer Donor Advised Fund
- $2,402 to the Lakeview Community Schools Kinesiology Program, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund
- $1,000 to the Village of Lakeview Community Garden, supported by the Lena Rader Meijer Donor Advised Fund
- $2,000 to the Lakeview District Fire Department Backup Pump, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund
- $3,113 to the Lakeview Community Schools for AED equipment, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund
- $3,500 to the Lakeview Lions Club Billboard, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund and the Ellafrits Family Community Fund
- $2,000 to the Village of Lakeview Veteran’s Flag Maintenance Project, supported by the LACF Unrestricted Fund and the Ellafrits Family Community Fund
Grant awards were announced during the annual LACF Community Dinner. Additionally, the 2024 Quality-of-Life Award was presented to Stephen Charnley for his service to the Lakeview community.
