Upcoming Grant Deadlines for 2015 Funding

A $10,000 grant to First Congregational Church of Greenville from the Kellogg Youth Fund provided matching funds with the Group Workcamp Organization to bring over 400 high school youth group participants from around the country to Greenville.   Local youth groups participated as well in the week-long mission in the Greenville area that provided help to over 60 elderly and low-income families’ with much needed home improvement projects. A whopping 61 projects were completed in just one week.

FALL GYAC (KELLOGG YOUTH FUND) GRANT CYCLE

For all area non-profits (within Montcalm County) with programs or projects that fall within the identified needs of area youth.  This includes but is not limited to substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco, drugs), poor performance in school, confidence and self-esteem issues in girls, teen health and wellness issues, teen driver safety, teen pregnancy, hunger or food insecurity, dating violence, access to recreation, and homelessness.  

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2014

DECISION:  EARLY DECEMBER, 2014

FUNDING AVAILABLE:  JANUARY 2015

SPRING EDUCATIONAL GRANT CYCLE

This cycle is specifically for area non-profits (within Montcalm County but not including public school systems) that have programs with a strong educational component. All grants will be awarded from the Grace Sagendorf Education Fund and/or the Sagendorf Opportunities for Success and Carl Barberi Caring for Kids Funds.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2015

Kathy Frank, GPS teacher, received a $565 grant from the Catherine Stall & June Motley Fund during the 2014 Spring Educational Cycle.  Kathy is excited to have them for her early childhood special education students.
